StanceNote Terms of Service

1. Agreement and product scope

By purchasing, downloading, installing, copying, or using StanceNote, you agree to these terms. The paid product is a downloadable software bundle that includes the StanceNote MCP server, bundled skills, custom agents, guided setup materials, and related release files.

A purchase grants a proprietary commercial license for the version delivered at purchase time together with any updates that we choose to make available under the same purchase.

2. License grant and restrictions

Subject to these terms, a single buyer receives a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use StanceNote for the buyer’s own internal use. If the buyer is an organisation, internal use means the organisation’s own internal research, evaluation, and workflow operations and does not include resale, redistribution, or service-bureau use.

Unless we separately agree in writing, you must not redistribute, sublicense, rent, lease, lend, resell, publish, make available to third parties as a hosted service, or use StanceNote to create a competing commercial distribution of the same packaged materials.

3. Ownership and open-source components

StanceNote and all associated proprietary materials remain owned by the StanceNote seller and the relevant licensors. Your purchase transfers a license only; it does not transfer ownership.

Some distributed materials include third-party or upstream open-source components. Those components remain subject to their own notices and license terms included in the download. Nothing in these terms reduces or replaces rights you receive under those third-party licenses.

4. Updates, support, and availability

We may provide fixes, improvements, or later releases at our discretion. References to lifetime updates mean that if we continue to ship updates for this product line, we intend to make those updates available without charging an additional renewal fee for the same purchased edition.

Support is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis through support@stancenote.com. We do not promise any particular support response time, roadmap item, compatibility target, or uninterrupted availability of any optional third-party service the product may integrate with.

5. Research-only and no financial advice

StanceNote is a research and decision-support tool only. It does not provide financial advice, investment advice, brokerage services, fiduciary services, or a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any security, derivative, currency, or other financial product.

Outputs can be incomplete, inaccurate, stale, or unsuitable for your circumstances. You remain solely responsible for verifying data, evaluating risk, complying with laws and platform rules, and making any investment or trading decision.

6. Termination

This license continues until terminated. It terminates automatically if you materially breach these terms. On termination you must stop using the proprietary portions of StanceNote and delete or destroy any copies you control, except to the extent you must retain records to comply with law.

7. Warranties and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, StanceNote is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, or results. We do not promise that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or compatible with every machine, terminal workflow, or third-party dependency.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, data, goodwill, trading opportunity, or investment performance arising from or relating to StanceNote or its outputs.

8. Non-excludable rights

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, non-excludable right, or other remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under applicable law, including any non-excludable rights that may apply under Australian consumer protection laws.
