We collect information that is reasonably necessary to sell and deliver StanceNote, provide purchase recovery, respond to support requests, and maintain the security of the website and download flow.

• Checkout and order data such as product, price, payment status, order reference, and payment identifiers.
• Customer contact data supplied during checkout or recovery, such as email address and, where provided by checkout, customer name.
• Access and recovery data such as one-time token hashes, token expiry times, and download-attempt records.
• Operational records such as webhook event payloads needed for payment reconciliation, fraud handling, and audit trails.
• Limited technical and security information processed by our infrastructure and service providers, such as request metadata used for rate limiting, fraud prevention, and delivery.

3. How we use information

• To create and manage checkout sessions, confirm payment, and provide access to the purchased bundle.
• To email one-time recovery links and support customers who cannot access a purchase.
• To prevent abuse, limit repeated requests, detect fraud, and investigate payment disputes or refunds.
• To keep basic accounting, compliance, and operational records about purchases and downloads.

We share relevant information with providers only where needed to operate the service.

5. Retention and security

We retain purchase and access records for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the product, support legitimate customer access, handle refunds or disputes, and meet accounting or legal obligations. Some short-lived access data is automatically pruned after expiry. We use technical and organisational measures that are reasonable for a small commercial software business, but no internet transmission or storage system is perfectly secure.

If you want to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, contact support@stancenote.com. We may need to keep some records where required for security, fraud prevention, accounting, or legal compliance.
